Hi. I'm Meegan, an environmental management student living in Brisbane and the creator of Jupiter's Ark. I am inspired to create by the world around me and driven by my desire to create a more ecologically and socially just future.
Many of my designs feature endangered species or species that are misunderstood, like sharks, macaws and prehistoric beasts. The aim is to raise awareness about these incredible creatures, to start conversations.

The nourishing health, beauty and power in fruit and vegetables is my other source of inspiration. Where would we be without bananas, watermelon, pineapple, avocado, and beetroots?
Every piece is unique, slightly different and formed to the mould of my fingertips, shaped by the heat or cool, and humidity of the afternoon on which it was made.
Jupiter's Ark is of course about creating art, but it is also about valuing each item we bring into our lives, thinking about where it came from, the hands that crafted it. I try to buy from local creatives, artisans, farmers and people in my community so as to be part of a world that is more connected and resilient.
An artist is not a special kind of person, rather, each person is a special kind of artist.
